Νέο ρεκόρ στην παραγωγή malware παγκοσμίως
μέσω i-Reporter από τον/την συγγραφέα i-reporter στις 11/8/2010
Η παραγωγή malware μέσα στους πρώτους έξι μήνες του έτους κατέγραψε ένα νέο ρεκόρ. Αυτό ανακοινώθηκε από την εταιρεία ανάπτυξης προϊόντων ασφαλείας McAfee.
Στους κατάλογους της εταιρείας καταγράφηκαν για το πρώτο εξάμηνο του έτους περίπου 10 εκατομμύρια νέα επιζήμια προγράμματα για τον υπολογιστή μας. Η, δε, εξάπλωση του malware μέσω του spam βρίσκεται σε ένα υψηλό επίπεδο ωστόσο, τουλάχιστον, δεν υπήρχε σε αυτό το τομέα αύξηση. Διαφορετικά είναι τα πράγματα όσον αφορά σε άλλους μεθόδους εξάπλωσης. Έτσι οι δημιουργοί των malwares εκμεταλλεύτηκαν διάφορα σημαντικά γεγονότα – όπως ήταν η διεξαγωγή του Μουντιάλ – ώστε να οδηγήσουν τους χρήστες μέσω links σε επικίνδυνα sites.
H McAfee κρούει τον κώδωνα του κινδύνου ιδίως σε κατόχους συστημάτων Macs. Για πολλούς λόγους το malware δεν είχε καταφέρει έως τώρα να διεισδύσει σε αυτή την περιοχή. Ωστόσο τα πράγματα έχουν αλλάξει, με τα ποσοστά μόλυνσης σε υπολογιστές Macs να αυξάνουν συνεχώς.

iPhone Users Have More Sex Than Android Users (REPORT)

After analyzing data from nearly 10,000 smartphone users, online dating website OkCupid has found what it says is "statistical proof that iPhone users aren't just getting [screwed] by Apple."
OkCupid tracked sexual activity (measured in number of partners) by smart phone brand. It found that, on average, a 30 year-old iPhone user has had twice as many sexual partners than an Android user of the same age. Thirty year-old BlackBerry users fall somewhere in the middle. See the chart below:
The online dating site's blog, OkTrends, says of the data: "We found this data as part of our general camera-efficacy analysis: we crossed all kinds of user behaviors with the camera models and found we had data on the number of sexual partners for 9,785 people with smart phones."
OkCupid also plotted a graph showing how the number of sexual partners varies according to smartphone brand and age. See chart below:
Phone retailer iPhone4u recently released the results of their own not-so-scientific study, which found that male iPhone users were luckier in love. As we wrote here, they reportedly surveyed 1,500 women and found that 54 percent of them said they would be more likely to date a man if he has an iPhone.
250,000 Euros placed on the Ground

The installation included 250,000 1 cent Euros (the coins were sorted into 4 different shades) placed on the ground of public square in Amsterdam. It was all done in 8 days with 100 volunteers.

Αρχίζει να μεταδίδει το πρώτο τρισδιάστατο, ευρωπαϊκό τηλεοπτικό κανάλι

Ξεκινά στις 3 Απριλίου η μετάδοση στη Βρετανία του 1ου τρισδιάστατου τηλεοπτικού καναλιού της Ευρώπης, όπως ανακοινώθηκε από το βρετανικό δορυφορικό «μπουκέτο» BSkyB.
Το πρώτο τηλεοπτικό πρόγραμμα που θα μεταδοθεί από το κανάλι αυτό θα είναι ένας ποδοσφαιρικός αγώνας της Πρέμιερ Λιγκ μεταξύ της Μάντσεστερ Γιουνάιτεντ και της Τσέλσι.
Το κανάλι, που θα ονομάζεται Sky3D, θα μεταδίδει τις πρώτες εβδομάδες διάφορες αθλητικές αναμετρήσεις και κατόπιν θα προσθέσει στο πρόγραμμά του ταινίες, ντοκιμαντέρ και ψυχαγωγικές εκπομπές.
Το Sky3D θα παρέχεται δωρεάν στους συνδρομητές της υπηρεσίας του Sky, όμως οι τηλεθεατές θα χρειαστεί να έχουν μια τηλεοπτική συσκευή που να μπορεί να αναμεταδίδει τρισδιάστατη εικόνα. Σύμφωνα με το BSkyB, πολλές εταιρείες (όπως οι Sony, Samsung, LG και Panasonic) σκοπεύουν να ρίξουν στην αγορά τέτοιους δέκτες. Οι θεατές θα πρέπει επίσης να είναι εφοδιασμένοι με ειδικά γυαλιά.
Εν αναμονή των ειδικών τηλεοπτικών συσκευών, οι Βρετανοί θα μπορούν να παρακολουθήσουν το Sky3D από τις περίπου 1.000 παμπ σε όλη τη χώρα που έχουν ήδη αποκτήσει συνδρομή.

Παπαρήγα: Πρόκληση το συνέδριο της ΓΣΕΕ σε πολυτελές ξενοδοχείο
Πρόκληση χαρακτήρισε η γενική γραμματέας της ΚΕ του ΚΚΕ Αλέκα Παπαρήγα τη διεξαγωγή του Συνεδρίου της ΓΣΕΕ εν μέσω κρίσης, στη Χαλκιδική, στο ξενοδοχείο «Αθως Παλλάς».
«Τώρα στην Χαλκιδική και μάλιστα σε θέρετρα γίνεται συνέδριο. Δεν είναι πρόκληση αυτό;», διερωτήθηκε η κ. Παπαρήγα μιλώντας στον ραδιοφωνικό σταθμό Θέμα 989 και πρόσθεσε: «Εμείς δεν είμαστε υπέρ μιας λαϊκίστικής αντιμετώπισης, να ντυθούμε όλοι με κουρέλια και να πούμε «α, υποφέρουμε όλοι», αλλά εν πάση περιπτώσει δεν είναι τυχαία η επιλογή. Στην Αθήνα έπρεπε να γίνει».
