these are not animated!
These interesting otical ilussions were made by Akiyoshi Kitaoka (北岡 明佳, born August 19, 1961), a Professor of Psychology at the College of Letters, Ritsumeikan University, Kyoto, Japan. After his 1991 PhD from the Institute of Psychology, University of Tsukuba he specialized in visual perception and visual illusions of geometrical shape, brightness, color, in motion illusions and other visual phenomena like Gestalt completion and perceptual transparency, based on a modern conception of Gestalt Psychology. In nonscientific circles he bacame renowned through his Rotating snakes illusion.

Warning: This article contains some works of “anomalous motion illusion”. Some of the pictures on this website can cause dizziness or might possibly epileptic seizures. The latter happens when the brain can’t handle the conflicting information from your two eyes. If you start feeling unwell when using this website, immediately cover one eye with your hand and then leave the page. Do not close your eyes because that can make the attack worse.
“Rotating snakes”Circular snakes appear to rotate ‘spontaneously’.

“Rollers”Rollers appear to rotate without effort. On the other hand, they appear to rotate in the opposite direction when observers see this image keeping blinking.

“Centipedes”The image appears to wave.

Unbelievable Parkour Stunts
Le Parkour is primarily considered a philosophy and includes the physical practice of traversing elements in both urban and rural settings. The goal is to move from one point to another as quickly and efficiently as possible. This discipline was created in France, in Sarcelles, Lisses and Evry by David Belle, Sébastien Foucan, and the founding members of the Yamakasi. It is inspired by “the natural method of physical education” by Georges Hébert who first saw this form of movement done by Africans in Congo. It was then spread worldwide by films, television reports, and amateur videos on the Internet.
The term freerunning is sometimes used interchangeably with parkour. While parkour aims to enable the practitioner to be able to move quickly and efficiently past obstacles, freerunning has a greater emphasis on self-expression within the environment. Freerunning includes tricking moves such as aerial rotations and spins, while the purist definition of parkour founder David Belle would not consider these part of parkour because the moves are merely showy, not efficient, and do not help the participant to get from place to place. Although Sébastien Foucan co-founded parkour, his philosophy differed and so he is generally associated with freerunning.

And, check this out: this guy is unbelievable! Damien Walters is a British gymnast specializing in tumbling. In 2003, he was a member of World Team title-winning British Men’s Tumbling team. Walters is also known for his participation in the Trampoline World Championships in 2007, finishing fourth in the team events, and 22nd in the individual events. Walters has also had the role of stuntman in the films Hellboy II and Kick-Ass. In 2010, he won the Taurus World Stunt Awards for “Best Fight” in the film Ninja Assassin. ENJOY!!
