Why-eye-eye?



This ad has been making the rounds of so many ad blogs, that I feel compelled to post it here:

Yes, they went there. It's a very old visual joke but it's just as unsettling as ever. And combined with a message about children, even creepier. A good example of making a PSA newsworthy through shockvertising, and accomplishing nothing but getting the agency's name out.
I did, however, see an insightful comment on this blog:
Is now the time to point out that /theoretically/ the first thing anyone has a chance of seeing in life is a vagina?
And what the hell does this particular for of CSR outreach have to do with cleaning products? (Besides creating a market for eyebleach.) Ew.
